ABOUT THE PROJECT

It's time to sleep! Accessible dorm rooms for our campers.

To facilitate our goal to provide the wonder of over-night camping to our special needs children guests and their families, we will build two ADA-Approved dormitories. We will build each ADA-Approved dorm to be 20’ x 20’ with a 6’ x 20’ veranda. There will be easy ramp access on to the veranda and no joints in the doorway, so that in a wheelchair one can move comfortably through the door. Then, once inside, there will be a 6’ walkway down the center of the room. With 5’ between each bunkbed, this is no small dorm, but a comfortable bunkhouse in which a special needs child and their parent can enjoy their week at Camp Se Konsa!

With a bunk house there can be overnight camps, and all the adventure of starlit skies, marshmallows and singing around the camp fires.
